re: Currencies

0

WildStar features different types of Currencies, which can be used to purchase items from players or NPCs. The standard currency in the game is gold, which is used to purchase mundane items. This is also the primary currency that players will use when interacting with one another during Trading or on the Auction House or Commodity Exchange.

Wildstar Gold

  • 100 Copper = 1 Silver
  • 100 Silver = 1 Gold
  • 100 Gold = 1 Platinum.

First, there's the "standard" copper, silver, and gold. These are used for most stuff that you pay for in the game.

Wildstar Renown

Renown is earned by doing just about anything in a group--whether it be questing, PVP, dungeons, raids, etc., all of these things will slowly earn you Renown.

Renown is primarily spent on customization and status symbols, but there are also combat-related ways to spend it

To spend Renown, just go to a Renown vendor (they're near the Guild Services guys, just ask a guard in town to find them).

Wildstar Prestige

Prestige is the PVP currency. You earn Prestige by, you guessed it, PVPing.

all PvP-related items, including their gear for leveling up and at max level. Prestige is earned by taking part and completing objectives in Battlegrounds, Arenas, and Warplots.

Something to be aware of is that Prestige is capped, meaning you can only have 5000 Prestige amassed at any time. The reason for this is so that you go spend it and keep your PVP gear as good as it can get.

Wildstar Elder Gems

Once you hit level-cap (50), you stop gaining experience and begin accumulating a currency known as Elder Gems. These gems can be used to purchase items from Elder Gem vendors.

The endgame currency for WildStar, Elder Gems are a resource that can be earned by whenever you would earn experience, with bonus being awarded whenever you complete Elder Game content, such as veteran instances, battlegrounds, or raids. This currency is spent on high-level items, such as epic armor, additional specs, bonus AMPS and Limited Action Set Points, and other high-tier goods.

Influence

Influence is a currency that is earned and kept by a guild. Influence is earned by a guild when it's members work together, and can be spent on temporary buffs, guild bank vaults, and guild-wide items.

Crafting Vouchers

Crafting Vouchers are a reward from doing daily Tradeskills quests, and can be used to purchase new schematics for each crafting tradeskill. Each crafting tradeskill will need Crafting Vouchers to unlock the most powerful and profitable items they gain access to.
